Hi Sharmon Glad you like this. It does hint of Spring as I am responding to the current weather and beauty here in Winston-Salem. No, it is not plein air, however it is painted from my memories, observations and interpretations of a place where I frequently walk.
Steven, Such a wonderful painting, great lights and darks, yummy colors, and lovely shapes that seem to move in the scene. It draws me in, I want to be there!
And thanks for recently joining my blog as a follower. I'm a big proponent of using words as well as paint to conjure up a picture, I enjoy seeing the haiku along with your painting. Delorse
Gorgeous painting! I love the use of blues for shadows.
ReplyDeleteHi Margaret
DeleteThank you! Sometimes when the light is just right the shadows are very blue and cool.
I like this one a lot, Steven! The colors are very "Springy"; was it painted outside?

ReplyDeleteI like this painting very much - there's a lyrical quality to it.
