Hi Steven, From "Day Breaking" to "Guide", I really like what you've been doing. You seem to be using a greater value range, which to me, gives these paintings greater impact. And from an old wanna-be poet, I admire the accompanying verses, too. My particular style was limited to something sounding a lot like, "Roses are red..."! Have a great week. Sincerely, Gary.
Hi Gary Thanks for your comments. There has been no conscience effort to expand the value range of my paintings. However, after your comments here, maybe that's something I might want to give more attention when my painting just isn't reading well.
I simply want to continue floating downstream, not paddling against any currents, just enjoying the ride with tools, mediums and substrates!
About my poetry (I do flatter myself calling it that.), I so often do the "Roses are red...." thing, however, I really like haiku and at this time enjoy playing with this form.
