Awhile back my blog friend Gary L. Everest ( http://gleverestpaintings.blogspot.com/) asked me to post an image of myself beside the recently created mandala "Acer Palmatum" so that the scale of the painting could be more easily grasped. He also indicated that I may be a bit shy. I must admit I am shy about photos of myself while not being a shy person, "in person" at all. Well, one day in the studio where I teach, a willing friend made a photo of me with said painting. So....here 'tis:
BRAVO STEVEN!
ReplyDeleteWhat a surprise to see! Who'da thunk you'd actually do this?! And best of all, everyone gets to see your handsome "mug" along side!
I salute you for doing this, and helping those of us with inferior imaginations, grasp the true scale and magnificence of this wonderful painting.
Best Wishes for a most enjoyable Christmas and fantastic New Year!
Sincerely,
Gary.
Thanks Gary! Merry Christmas to you and Michelle with much joy and many blessings for you now and always.

Awesome mandala, Steven! I painted a whole series of mandalas based on natural forms some years back, that would fit right in with this piece.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sharmon!
DeleteMost of the mandalas that I paint are inspired by nature too>
