"Deodara Dance"

The tentacle-like branches of this wonderful tree caught my eye while walking near my home.
I've always loved the structure of Deodara Cedars. This one seemed to invite me to dance in and out of the shadows created by the beautiful Fall light and palette.

  3. Hi Angela
I love trees, so when I create paintings of them I try to convey my initial response that made me want to paint.
Thank you so much for the Thanksgiving wishes.
I plan to spend the day with much loved family and friends and of course delicious food. It's so joyful to have a day set aside for the simple and meaningful pleasures of life. I am very thankful for these pleasures.
I wish the same for you.

  5. Lovely painting Steven. You've captured a beautiful variety of greens, and great light effects. I can see why you felt like dancing with the tree. She's full of movement and ready to embrace with her arms open.

  6. Hi Brenda
I certainly do have a love affair with trees...and with great emotion! Each and every tree has such an individual presence. With unique energy and a story to tell of survival and growth, their personality is the allegory of their life.
Thanks for visiting my blog and commenting.

  7. Hello Claire
Thank you! This deadora really invited me to "look" and join in the fun of experiencing this space we call earth. All of nature is ours to breathe into our senses as we co-exist on this beautiful planet.
