"Marsh at Fort Fisher"
A cold and windy November day when I did this painting. This was the first time that I used my new French easel (a gift from my sister Peggy). I had to hold on tight to everything so that nothing would blow away! All in all a very satisfying experience to be in the moment and to be pleased with my finished creation. My set-up location was just behind one of NC's fabulous state aquariums, which would be just the right in this composition and to the left, just over the dunes, is the Atlantic Ocean.

I must say I simply love this painting a lot. It is so beautiful. The sky and the gentle breeze across the water and so well painted. The colours throughout are perfect.
