"Girl with Doves"

I couldn't resist doing a painting of this astounding bronze sculpture, "Girl with Doves", by the late Richard Hallier (http://www.hallierart.com/index.html) The birds appear to be in flight and attracted to this joyous figure of a young lady. It was donated by a generous patron to "live" in this textural garden setting.

  1. Hi Steven,
Wow! I'm really impressed with this piece, Steven, especially the sense of movement and space on such a small format.
    Bravo!
    Sincerely,
    Gary.

  2. Hi Garnet,
    Glad you like it!

    Hi Gary
The last few small paintings have been challenging for me. I wanted enough detail in each one to make the subjects easily recognizable.
    Thanks for your kudos!

  3. Beautiful piece Steven! You've really capture the feeling of movement and flight. This must be such a gorgeous image to come across in nature. Thanks very much for your wonderfully poetic comment. I'm just not as talented as you with prose, otherwise I would have attempted. Cheers!

  5. She's wonderful. I thought she was a girl dressed up like a fairy at first. Hope to see you soon.

Thanks! She is rather fairy-like in her lightness and grace isn't she. Would love to see you too!
